28 июня 2026 года ушел из жизни Арташес Авакович Мовсесянц, бывший начальник Испытательного центра экспертизы качества МИБП ФГБУ «НЦЭСМП» Минздрава России, член Государственного Фармакопейного Совета Минздрава России, член редакционной коллегии журнала «БИОпрепараты. Профилактика, диагностика, лечение».

The journal Biological Products. Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment has been indexed in Scopus and assigned to the third quartile (Q3).

Editorial Board and editorial team of Biological Products. Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment congratulate the Journal’s founder and visionary, Nikolay V. Medunitsin, Dr.Sci. (Med.), Professor, Academician of RAS, академика РАН, Director of L.A. Tarasevich State Research Institute of Standardization and Control of Medical Biological Preparations (1988-2009), on the Journal’s 25^th anniversary!

Thanks to his deep knowledge of immunobiological preparations, Dr. Medunitsin justified the need of creating a specialized journal essential for bioproduct developers, manufacturers, quality control officers, and supervisors. The journal was also designed as a publication highly interesting for practitioners – pediatricians, infectious disease specialists, and epidemiologists.

The 25^th anniversary of the Journal has confirmed the relevance of its existence by publishing a large number of scientific papers by Russian and foreign researchers dedicated to various production, control and use aspects of medicinal immunobiological preparations.

Vadim A. Merkulov, Dr.Sci. (Med.), Professor, Deputy General Director of Sceintific Centre for Expert Evaluation of Medicinal Products, Editor-in-Chief of Biological Products. Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment, reached the age of 55 years on August 8, 2025.

Dr. Merkulov’s scientific interests cover molecular biology, virology, and immunology, resulting in more than 300 publications and patents.  Especially notable is Dr. Merkulov’s activity as Editor-in-Chief of Biological Products. Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment since 2021. In 2023, the Journal was included in the list of peer-reviewed scientific publications mandatory for publication of the main scientific results of dissertations for the Candidate degree and the Doctor degree; in 2025, it was indexed by Scopus database.

The Working Group on Quality Assessment and Selection of Journals for the RSCI database has completed the monitoring of journal quality and amended the list of journals included into the RSCI. The new RSCI list (887 journals) is published at the web-sites of the Russian Academy of Sciences (see the section on research and publishing), National Electronic Library (eLIBRARY.RU), Lomonosov Moscow State University, Higher School of Economics, and Association of State Research Centres.

The journal BIOpreparations. Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment has been included into the RSCI following the evaluation of the journal’s application.

The RSСI is a collaboration of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the international data analytics company Clarivate Analytics, and the Russian information company National Electronic Library (eLIBRARY.RU). It is a database of reputable and reliable Russian journals selected by expert groups of leading Russian scientists on the basis of formal criteria, bibliometric indicators of the journals in the Russian Index of Science Citation (RISC), and a public assessment.

Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment has been included in the list of peer-reviewed scientific publications mandatory for publication of the main scientific results of dissertations for the Candidate degree and the Doctor degree and included in the international abstract databases and citation systems.

The journal has been included in Embase, an Elsevier database. Since 2020, the Journal articles have been available to the world scientific community.

BIOpreparations. Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment has been included in the international abstract database of Chemical Abstracts Service, CAS.
