<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Physiological immunodeficiency during pregnancy contributes to activation of chronic urogenital pathology which often causes intrauterine infections. Recombinant interferon-alpha based rectal suppositories VIFERON® are often used in Russia for treatment of pregnant women with urogenital pathology. The treatment results in a marked decrease in the number of pregnancy complications and perinatal pathology accompanied by a decrease in peripheral blood CD56bright natural killer cells.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>беременность</kwd><kwd>урогенитальные инфекции</kwd><kwd>внутриутробные инфекции</kwd><kwd>рекомбинантный интерферон альфа-2b</kwd><kwd>CD56bright-популяция натуральных киллеров</kwd><kwd>pregnancy</kwd><kwd>urogenital pathology</kwd><kwd>intrauterine infections</kwd><kwd>recombinant interferon-alpha</kwd><kwd>CD56bright natural killer cells</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Birkeland SA, Kristoffersen K.
